Reading the index.

How to read the sky

  1. 01Every star is a token the router’s index has seen trading. Its size follows how many of its pools have traded. The nine hubs, USDG, ether, $GALX and the six tokens with the most traded pools, sit on the inner ring, and every other star hangs off the hub it trades against most.
  2. 02The dust behind the stars is every other token the index knows: created, paired, and never seen trading. There are tens of thousands of them, which is what a launchpad chain looks like from above.
  3. 03A comet is one swap, read from the chain head every three seconds on every venue in the index: Uniswap v2 and v3 style pools, Solidly pools, and Uniswap v4 with or without hooks. It leaves the token that was paid and lands on the token that was received. Both stars glow for a few seconds afterwards.
  4. 04The dollar figure on a swap is its USDG side, or its ether side at the router’s own ETH price. A swap between two other tokens shows without a figure rather than with a guessed one.
  5. 05Click a star for its reading: the price the router quotes into USDG right now, its pools, its last swaps, and the way to its holders and to the terminal. Scroll to zoom, drag to move.

What it is drawn from, and what it leaves out

Nothing on this page is typed in. The pools are the same index the terminal routes through, the swaps are the same logs the engine reads to keep its prices current, and the ETH price is the engine’s own quote. A swap that appears here is a swap the router could have routed through.

It leaves out what the index leaves out: a venue the discovery has not learned, a pool created in the last hours and not yet scanned, and the launchpad curves that are not pools at all. A token trading only there is dust here until its first pool trades.

The sky keeps the last few hundred swaps in memory and nothing longer. For a token’s history, its own page holds the chart and the holders, and the terminal holds the trade.
